The fascinating game of Poker is played between at least two people with a standard deck of 52 cards (except Jokers). The cards are ranked from high to low i.e. Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Ace. Generally, Ace is high but it can be high or low. There are four suits - spades, diamonds, hearts and clubs, all of them are ranked equally. All poker hands contain five cards, the highest hand wins. Individual cards are ranked from best to worst. If two of the players achieve the same hand, the rank of a card decides the tie-break. The Ace is the most valuable card. After Ace it goes in descending order: King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 (or as shown in the Figure Above). To win in poker, the player has to make the combination of the best 5 cards according to the hand rankings.
